Trade deficit declined by 35% in the first quarter of this fiscal year




In the first quarter of this fiscal, the trade deficit declined by 34.85%.

According to company statistics, the trade deficit was $ 5.72 billion from July to September, compared to $ 8.7 billion in July-September last year.

July-September exports recorded a 2.75 percent increase, and exports in the first quarter stood at $ 5 billion 52 million, company statistics said.

Imports were down 20.59 percent in the first quarter of this year, and imports from July to September stood at $ 11 billion 25 million, according to company statistics.

Exports recorded a 2.67 percent increase in September 2019 to $ 1.1 billion, while imports fell 13.90 percent in September and imports stood at $ 3 billion 78 million, the trade deficit was $ 2.5 billion, according to institutional statistics.
